SUFRAMA: Joint action is essential to meet the challenges
Manaus Free Trade Zone (Suframa)
The Manaus Free Trade Zone, like the country and the world, faces the challenge of the pandemic, which has once again gained strength and impacted the global economy, largely due to the actions determined to stop Covid-19. The measures, some of them restrictive, interfered in the industrial reality of the region, promoted changes in production lines and, consequently, in the employability, productivity and billing.
Suframa considers a unique moment, it has acted together with class entities and institutional partners to safeguard, to the maximum, the jobs and conditions for the Industrial Pole of Manaus (Polo Industrial de Manaus – PIM) maintain its activity, in order to continue meeting the demands of their products, basically all aimed at the Brazilian market.
In 2020, the PIM industries demonstrated such a
resilience to the region, which resulted in performance indicators, which show,
until last November, positive data for the local and national economy. There
was also a favorable balance in job creation between January and November 2020.
Acting together to create the necessary basis to face current and future challenges
is the commitment of Suframa and other regional and national performers, so
that our country can overcome the difficulties imposed by the pandemic and
follow strides towards better days.
