SUFRAMA: Data reinforce the relevance of the electronics sector in Manaus Free Trade Zone
Even with the difficulties faced by the Brazilian productive sector as a result of the pandemic, the segments of electronics, households and computer goods of Manaus Industrial Park (PIM) maintained positive performance and brought stability to the industry installed there.
Data disclosed by Suframa, related to the period from January to August this year, shows the electronic sector had a US$ 17.49 billion revenue and has grown 0.50% in relation to the same period last year, while the computer goods sector had a result even more expressive: US$ 18.24 billion revenue and growth of 18.29% on the same comparative period.

The federal government has undertaken measures to improve the business environment, aimed at strengthening the Brazilian economy and industry in general. It is worth noting Suframa’s Board of Directors held four meetings in the pandemic through video conference, approving 100 industrial and service projects, representing around BRL 3.3 billion in new investments, with an estimated generation of around 5,320 jobs.
This information helps to maintain positive projections and further strengthen the work of the entity. It is necessary to continue acting firmly, seeking to diversify the local economy and intensify commercial promotion and investment attraction actions, which may be decisive for Suframa’s mission: to enable better conditions for regional socioeconomic and sustainable development and the reduction of inequalities.
