SMALL SPEAKERS, BIG DEALS
The category of speakers promises good business to the retail, both by the growth in consumption and by the demand that occurs in the last quarter of the year. Products with new technologies, waterproof, with LED light, digital panel, sound quality and portability stimulate the development of the sector .
ALTOMEX
The electronics market is evolving, always renewing itself, and Altomex too, comments Linsen Wang, brand manager. “People usually look for sound quality and price. The small speakers serve the consumer. Most sales are of smaller models. We believe on the sales of our brand products on both dates, Black Friday and Christmas”.
The company has a wide portfolio of speakers and highlights, for this year’s end, the AL-9055 model, which comes with microphone input, memory card, memory stick and FM radio. It has an auxiliary cable and high sound quality.
DAZZ
For Francimar Silva, national sales manager of Rio Branco Group, owner of the Dazz brand, Bluetooth speakers have become a form of leisure and entertainment in times of pandemic. “In our point of view, the small speakers market has a very latent hegemony between the desire brands.”
Dazz indicates, for Black Friday and Christmas, the JOY speaker, which can be used in several environments, even in a bike ride, because it has a lighting system with three speeds. The brand highlights as differentials the audio quality and the acquisition value, that is, a fair price.
FRAHM
The market is growing in physical volume, but the average price is lowering says Frahm sales manager, Idalva Longen. “Much more effort is needed to maintain margins and financial value. Today, the smaller models are selling well, because they are complete, with all the technologies, and the portability allows the consumer to listen to his favorite music anywhere”.
The company bets on the TF 600 BT speaker for both dates. The model has Bluetooth, USB, MicroSD, FM, plus P2 inputs for notebook and tablet, and P10 for microphone or musical instruments (guitar, electric guitar, keyboard). It has a lithium battery with autonomy of up to 6 hours, LEDs that illuminate the two 10″ speakers and side speakers that project light effects in the environment.
GRADIENTE
The speakers will move billions until the next decade, says Gradiente marketing manager, Carla Góes de Barros. “Today, the consumer takes music everywhere, listens and watches videos over the Internet, using mainly the cell phone. The connectivity of the speakers integrates the signals from various sources, amplifies and improves the audio quality and sound experience of the user”.
The GCA201 model, of Extreme Colors Gradient line, is the highlight for this year end. Portable, it has 400 W power, two 6.5″ speakers with LEDs and 2.5″ tweeter, rechargeable battery and bass and treble control. The Gradient Connect function allows you to connect two speakers to play the same music simultaneously, creating the feeling of surround in the environment.
IWILL BRASIL
The growing demand for speakers is feeding the market with new ideas. “Portable models have been preferred by users because they do not require wiring, are easy to install and have sound quality. Another point is versatility, as they connect via Bluetooth with cell phones, tablets, and notebooks, and end up being used as amplifiers”, explains the director of iWill Brasil, Jeferson Ferrão.
Its highlight is the Vogue Speaker 3 in 1, that is also power bank and wireless charger of 2,000 mAh with Qi performance. It allows the cell phone to be charged anywhere, without being connected to a power grid. Considering the atypical year and the repressed consumption will, still waiting for the economy to recover, Christmas should be the strongest period in sales.
KIMASTER
One of the main factors that ensure the success of the speakers is the streaming systems of music aligned to smartphones, says Sisi Hong, CEO of Kimaster. “The K450 model is one of the brand’s best sellers. It has 10 W RMS of power, IPX6 protection, which resists stronger water splashes, and pairing technology, which allows connection with another speaker of the same model, simultaneously”.
The public has shown a preference for medium and small size speakers due to their practicality and easy mobility. These attributes and the fact that they are light have made them indispensable products in family and friends’ meetings.
MONDIAL ELETRODOMÉSTICOS
It has a wide range of speakers, of various sizes, manufactured in the country. “The products are the Brazilian favorites due to their versatility. The market buys all types”, says John Zack, commercial director of Mondial. “The smaller ones, for home interiors, sell more due to price and applicability. The big ones are for outdoor environments, such as beaches, pools. They are also used by neighborhood stores and supermarkets to announce their promotions”.
For the dates, the Thunder XII amplified speaker (MCO-12), with 100 W RMS, Bluetooth technology, flashlights, display and digital equalizer stands out. It has USB, MicroSD, auxiliary, microphone and electric guitar inputs. The product is bivolt and comes with internal rechargeable battery and handle for transportation.
NEWEX
With the pandemic more controlled, the consumer started to gather small groups of friends or family at home, occasions in which the speaker is always present, says Marcelo Sztajn, Newex executive director. “The demand continues to grow. With this, we are investing on novelties to follow the market.”
For Black Friday and Christmas, the company highlights the Speaker Joy – SK416, with 100 W, Bluetooth, inputs for microphone and musical instruments, MicroSD card, USB, and FM radio. Its differential is the TWS technology, which allows to connect two identical speakers to double the power, one in each environment within 10 meters from the connected device.
SOMECO
The process of domestic audio renewal has grown as of the pandemic, says Marcelo Palacios, Someco’s general director. “There is a trend towards portable equipment with a good artistic cost-quality relation. Bluetooth connectivity is a determining feature in the purchase decision, and the same goes for models that have rhythmic LED lighting”.
For the last quarter of the year, the company highlights the Start XL Smart model, from the speaker series of Novik line, which has been impelling sales since its launch last June. With a sober design and high acoustic standard, it has Bluetooth connectivity, is compatible with iOS and Android virtual assistants and is presented in black, grey, blue and red.
XTRAD
For Black Friday, it highlights the XDG41 model, which has differentiated design and features, such as DJ effects, karaoke, and multicolor lighting. For Christmas, the XDG38, which is large, colorful, and includes a microphone. It has quality and sound robust enough to stand out, even in very large environments. “It will be a good choice,” says Jane Qin, CEO of XTRAD.
The speaker’s market is in constant evolution, attests the company. The technology has advanced, consumer behavior has changed, as well as the product format, and the devices have been replaced with speakers that work through smartphones and tablets, with Bluetooth, memory stick and memory card connection.
