Partners meeting – Eletrolar Show

After two years of remote negotiations, the relations between industry and retail strengthened with the face-to-face meeting at the 15th Eletrolar Show. The personal contact between retail and industry had very positive results and generated good expectations for this semester, traditionally the strongest of the year in sales, and which, in 2022, will have another date to stimulate consumption with the holding of the World Cup in Qatar.

Considered by buyers as a great showcase, the fair had launches in all segments, including artificial intelligence for the connected home, a variety of items aimed at the gamer market and for the practice of sports, high-resolution televisions, household appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines and cooktops of the latest generation, portable appliances, computers, mobile phone accessories, chargers of all kinds and household utilities.

The event showed trends, such as bright colors in bicycles, kitchen utensils and pans that, due to their design, can go on the table. “The pans with glass display caught my attention,” said Lourran Silva, project manager at Power PC. “The feedback from the fair was very important. We saw suppliers and products in person. It’s the best way to negotiate. I’ve been attending the fair for a long time and I’m always happy about it”, said Felipe Antunes, commercial manager at Eletrosom, a network that operates in the Uberlândia region, in Minas Gerais.
Technology in 1st place

Connectivity was a trademark of the fair. The equipment shown at Casa Conectada attracted retailers. “With the arrival of the 5G network, connections will be faster and faster, and the technology for the connected home will grow exponentially. The products displayed in the space, for sure, are of interest to our shops”, said Marcio Pauliki, vice president of Lojas MM, a chain that sells furniture and appliances mainly in physical spaces in Paraná.

Representative of Corrêa Back, a retailer from Santa Catarina, Alison Back called the products for Casa Conectada innovative. “They are not the future, they are the now.” Gabriel Zancheta, manager of the brown line of Via, a chain present in more than 400 Brazilian municipalities, added: “They caught the eye and will be a trend in the coming months”.

The project of Casa Conectada is very good and arouses the interest of consumers, but for us it is premature, said Marcelino M. Dantas, director of Maré Móveis, which operates in Rio Grande do Norte. “For my region it is still something unreal, because we are in the interior of the state, and a large part of the people are not used to these technologies.”
Partner of Marchesan Com. Ltda, a company from Espírito Santo, Luiz Cornachini, always present at Eletrolar Show editions, highlighted that it is extremely important to participate in the event to learn about trends and launches. “The mechanism and innovation that products like the 3D printer and the sealer bring are great to create a differential.”
Those who know always come back

The fair, as buyers have testified, is a great opportunity to connect with big brands and learn about the latest innovations. Those who visit once return in subsequent years. “We have been to more than five editions of the Eletrolar Show and we have never been disappointed,” said Alan Oliveira, representative of Zenir Móveis e Eletros.

Roseli Gonsalez is the owner of Rosa Choque, an e-commerce company from eastern São Paulo, which has the female public as its main target, and attended the fair to increase the variety of its products. “I work with cosmetics and electronics aimed at women, such as hair dryers and massagers. However, this year, I came looking for other items, such as shavers.”

In addition to the numerous options of products and brands, the fair was held within the concept of sustainability. “These concerns are essential to the company’s image and are linked to our DNA. We have contact with several social projects,” said commercial manager Diana Queiroz, from the non-food sector of the Coop supermarket chain.
“In the region where we operate, sustainability is paramount, and this is present in our values. There are several projects that we always sponsor”, said Alexandre Oliveira, partner of Rede Norte, which sells electrical appliances and furniture in the north of Minas Gerais.
Expectations for this year

Overall, they are good. “In this semester, we will have a big boom. The combination of the World Cup and Black Friday is really heating up my commerce. The televisions and sound devices are always successful in this period of events, “said Vinícius Pinheiro, representative of Armazém Paraíba, a chain of furniture appliances, electronics and computers in the Northeast.

Most buyers believe in better sales performance this semester compared to previous months. “There was a drop in our sales, but we trust in the heating of trade in the coming months,” said Marcos Darlo, commercial director of Valdar Móveis, a company from the state of Paraná.
Commercial director of Carajás, which serves the Northeast of Brazil, Carlos Eduardo Ganeo said the first half of this year was tight. “However, now, I see a growth in sales.” Representative of Haus Center, retail of household appliances, José Miguel Abudinen is confident. “This semester, we expect a 10% increase in sales over the same period last year.”
World Cup x sales

Retailers have plans to boost sales with football’s biggest event. “We intend to make products with symbols of the Brazilian team available to attract the public during the World Cup period. And Black Friday always helps sales a lot,” said Renata Santos, general manager of the Minas Gerais state brand JBS Eletrohome.

However, for some, the World Cup can interfere with the movement. “It is a period when people lose focus on electronics purchases, are very worried about meeting friends and family to watch the games and direct their spending for barbecues, for example,” said Scheyla Braga, manager of Freire e Lima.

Games in the afternoon disturb the business. “We work mostly through a call center. So, on game days, our sales will drop, because people won’t look for products during these periods,” said Luana Leal, commercial assistant at Papelex Rio, which sells home appliances and at the fair looked for computer products to expand its mix.

Advantages of ES
According to the buyers, the trade fair brings innovations, strengthens commercial commercial relationships and generates good business. Representative of Jump Smart Place, a company that sells products and accessories for telephony, Fabiano Lipphaus participated for the first time. “It’s a good place to have direct contact with the brands, including those we already worked with. That’s one advantage of the Eletrolar Show”.

Partner of RG Móveis e Eletros, a network in Espírito Santo, Carlos Zorzanelli said he went to the fair in search of novelties. “The refrigerators were very attractive, the models that have the freezer combined are the trend of the moment, for sure”. The event also brought useful information for this semester’s sales. “I was able to learn new market trends and evaluate the novelties that I will bring to my Regineide Fortunato, from Cases Natal, said.

Who also visited the fair this year for the first time was Eric Pinhot, from Iphone Import, a retailer that sells electronics through social networks. “We came to the Eletrolar Show with the goal of including new products and brands in our catalog.” The same purpose took Ramon Magalhães, from NovoLare, from Rio de Janeiro, which works with mobile phones and fans. “We came to see the new technologies”.

Another newcomer was Ikama Cell, a network of physical shops that sells mobile phone accessories. “It’s a good place to do business, we expect better results this semester”, said Ariadyny Ferreira, buyer of the company.
