Historic Revenue Record Expected for the Manaus Industrial Hub

SUPERINTENDENTE DA ZONA FRANCA DE MANAUS (SUFRAMA)
The latest data from Suframa indicate that the Manaus Industrial Hub (PIM) achieved revenues of BRL 188.44 billion by November 2024. This puts it very close to confirming projections of revenues exceeding BRL 200 billion for the year, which would represent a new historic record for the Manaus Free Trade Zone. This result was heavily driven by the Electronics and IT Goods segments, which together accounted for BRL 77.15 billion in revenue during this period, contributing to over 40% of the total result.
The impact of these sectors was not only reflected in PIM’s revenue growth but also in the increase in employment generation indicators. By November 2024, these industries were responsible for maintaining 45,270 direct jobs, including permanent, temporary, and outsourced positions.
This was also the highest employment level among all PIM sectors — the second highest being the Two-Wheel Vehicle Hub, which maintained 23,051 jobs.
These figures highlight the significant role of the electronics industry in job creation and investment within the Suframa-administered incentive area, contributing to Brazil’s economy. More than 90% of the products in these sectors, including televisions, microcomputers, mobile phones, and tablets, are destined for the domestic market.
Suframa remains actively engaged with industry associations, such as Eletros and other partners, to ensure even greater success for the Electronics Hub and PIM as a whole in 2025. These continued efforts will undoubtedly have a decisive impact on improving the quality of life for the regional population.
