PIM industries invoice R$ 39,5 billion in the first quarter of 2022

Driven by the record performance achieved in 2021, when accomplished the historic billing of R$ 158.62 billion, the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM) started 2022 in a prosperous way and presented, in the first quarter of the year, positive indicators for turnover, exports and generation of jobs.
Between January and March, the industries of the PIM had revenues of $ 39.5 billion, representing a growth of 9.62% over the same period last year (R$ 36.04 billion). In March, specifically, the PIM employed 104,205 workers, in-cluding permanent, temporary and outsourced, a similar number to the same month last year (104,447 workers). At the end of the first quarter of 2022, the monthly average of jobs was 105,575 workers.
The contribution of the electronics and computer goods industry, in this sense, is extremely relevant, since this segment continues to be the main sector of the PIM, with revenues of R$ 19.35 billion in the first three months of the year and the generation of 52,864 direct jobs, accounting for approximately 50% of both global sales and the number of jobs generated.
As the managing institution of the Manaus Free Trade Zone model, Suframa has a good perception of these results and will continue to permanently monitor the business environment in the region, to provide the support for the companies in the MIP to have their competitiveness strengthened and continue on an upward trajectory
