ARTICLE – GREEN ELETRON
CONTINUE IS NECESSARY
I always bring up themes related to reverse logistics and recycling, which are part of what we call ESG. More specifically related to electronics and batteries, a sector developed by Green Eletron, the managing entity of which I am the executive manager.
Today, I’m here to remind you that the challenges have risen, yet again. In 2019, the Sectoral Agreement brought progressive targets for manufacturers, importers, distributors, and shopkeepers. If in 2021 the objective was to guarantee the recycling of 1% by weight of what was sold in 2018, and in 2022, 3%, this year we should reach 6%. The goal doubles every year.
The percentage seems small, but it is not. And to achieve the result, our only option is to join forces. Fortunately, I have good expectations, as I see growing interest across society. But we cannot stop, because in 2025 the target will be 17%!
It is also essential to expand environmental education. So I ask you to access and reverberate what the (Movimento Eletrônico Não é Lixo) Electronic Movement is Not Trash has been doing, especially on Instagram. After all, to recover unused items, the population must take them to the correct place.
Each piece is crucial to the results we have achieved, in partnership with retailers, who make their spaces available, and with members associates, who contribute to the system. I invite you to join us to, in addition to complying with the law, guarantee a healthy future for the next generations.
