IDEAL TAX REFORM MUST MAINTAIN COMPETITIVENESS FROM ALL SECTORS AND REGIONS OF THE COUNTRY

Brazil is moving towards the final approval of the Tax Reform, which was validated by the Senate on November 8th, and which may soon be ratified in the Chamber of Deputies. A new national tax environment will be a historic achievement, benefiting our economy and the country’s business environment.
The construction of a proposal that carefully looked at the different realities between the productive sectors and regions of the country, respecting the investments made and jobs generated, was always defended by Eletros.
The national electronics industry, for example, which is present in 11 states of the federation and in five regions of the country, is a great example of the importance of paying close attention to the particularities of each segment and regional reality.
It is not permitted to implement a Tax Reform that makes the competitiveness of companies located in Brazil unfeasible, as well as that does not consider the economic and strategic importance of businesses that have a great economic and social impact.
In this sense, the electronics sector is, once again, a reference. Our companies account for more than 3% of the industry’s GDP and for the generation of more than 200 thousand jobs, from Amazonas, in the Manaus Free Trade Zone, through cities in the interior of several states, such as Maracanaú (CE), Conceição Jacuípe (BA), Timbó (SC), Pato Branco (PR) and Três Lagoas (MS), among other locations.
Respect for the diversity and potential of each segment or region of the country, in parallel with our ability to walk together, is fundamental for a more prosperous future for governments, productive sectors and civil society, in a new, more modern and efficient tax context.
