Positive economic indicators and heat waves boost the electronics Industry’s results
The successive heat waves recorded throughout 2024, combined with the positive phase of the Brazilian economy, have had a significant impact on the results of the national electronics industry.
The strong economic performance, driven by controlled inflation, rising employment and income, and a significant reduction in household debt, has given consumers more confidence to resume shopping.
The 31% growth in our sector’s sales from January to August—driven by the exceptional performance of the air conditioning and small appliance segment, which includes fans — looks set to continue in the coming months.
There are optimistic prospects for 2024 to become the best year for our sector in the past decade, considering that Black Friday and Christmas represent peak sales periods, making the fourth quarter historically the strongest in sales for our industry.
In this scenario, not only are our industries benefiting. The entire supply chain, including raw material producers, logistics operators, distributors, and retailers, is also seeing positive results.
It is vital that the management of our economy remains focused on these fundamental pillars so that we can continue this positive cycle into 2025, resulting in more jobs and investments for our country.
