Conscious consumption: what we need to know to cooperate with the recycling of electronic waste

Conscious consumption is a culture that brings more responsible habits to the daily lives of the population. It aims to encourage a change of mindset, review our real needs, and avoid over-purchasing. According to a survey carried out by Samsung, in partnership with MindMiners, there is an increase in the number of people who are concerned about the impacts caused on the environment. Thus, 94% of respondents consider the topic of sustainability to be important or very important.
Therefore, in this scenario, conscious disposal of equipment at the end of its useful life becomes essential, ensuring its destination without impact on the environment and allowing the recycling of its materials. I emphasize that reverse logistics aims to reinsert the materials extracted from these wastes into the production chain. In this sense, the action of the population is fundamental in carrying out environmentally correct disposal at the collection points spread across the country, which already total more than 4,700. The support of the corporate world and of all actors in the logistics chain is essential, whether through its internal actions or in partnerships with entities in the recycling sector.
We need to reflect on our consumption habits to ensure a more sustainable country. In addition, encouraging conscious disposal and publicizing existing alternatives is the duty of all of us.
