Business: brands must use reverse logistics by 2022
In the last few years, sustainability and the concern with the environment have been put on the agenda when the subject is business. According to a study by Dentsu International and Microsoft Advertising, conducted in 2021, 91% of people want brands to demonstrate that they are making positive choices about the planet
When it comes to reverse logistics, for example, the population is increasingly aware of the problems caused by improper disposal of solid waste, and the brands that demonstrate greater commitment will stand out. To comply with Law 12.305/10 and decree 10.936/22, companies must adapt their processes, promoting greater use of discarded materials.
ABREE manages reverse logistics for 54 members. To do this, more than 3,000 receiving points have been set up, serving more than 1,200 municipalities in Brazil. Once the products are received, they are forwarded to partners that perform the reverse manufacturing, allowing the reinsertion of the materials in the productive chain.
Manufacturers must act by disseminating the need for the correct disposal of products and adapt their processes to receive recycled inputs. To do so, they need to look for the managing entity that can help in this process.
