Retailers are awarded during event promoted by Grupo Eletrolar
The electronics industry and retailers had a night of full integration on March 10th, during the launch of the special edition Presidents of Eletrolar News magazine, when retailers chosen by the industry as highlights for their performance in 2019 receive a special award.
For 21 years, Eletrolar News magazine spread the news of the industry and retail, following market trends, presenting launches, new technologies and consumer behavior. The work developed and the credibility make the publication a national reference and a launching pad for the sector.
In his greeting to those present at the event, Carlos Clur, president of the Grupo Eletrolar, recalled that in those years, the magazine has been giving a broad view of the categories that make up the segment and keep opening opportunities to generate good business.
An example is the Eletrolar Show & Latin American Electronics trade show, which celebrates 15 years in 2020 occupying 100% of the Transamerica Expo Center. Its program counts with congress on AI solutions and technologies for retail, panel on e-commerce and marketplace, and special areas: Smart, Gamer Arena for Retail and Test & Ride Urban Mobility Arena.

Before the awards celebrations to retailers, the research firm GfK presented the balance sheet for the electronics sector in 2019 and the perspectives for 2020. Fernando Bayaluna, retail director at GfK, said that economic factors such as the downsizing of public banks and privatizations collaborated with the market, but we need to speed up the process.
The director of GfK also pointed out that, in the last three years, premium items have contributed to the sector, with the exception of the white line, which has experienced widespread growth, that is, from entry-level to more sophisticated products. He also highlighted that consumer behavior today is phigital, it is not just online or offline, and is open to all channels.
The growth projections for the sector in 2020 will have to be analyzed month by month, due to the problems arising from Covid-29.

After GfK’s presentation, the president of the Grupo Eletrolar started the award to the prominent retailers of 2019.
Representatives of each company were honored: Roberto Rangel, commercial director of Casa & Vídeo, Ubirajara Pasquotto, CEO of Cybelar, Carlos Yukio Gondo, general manager and Edson Nobuo Shimada, statutory and store operations director of Fast Shop, respectively, Dvair Borges Lacerda, commercial manager at Fujioka, Aldemir de Souza, product manager at Havan, José Domingos Alves, general supervisor at Lojas Cem, Otelmo Albino Drebes, president of Lojas Lebes and José Agnelo Seges, president of Lojas taQi.
In addition to the honorees present, other companies were voted by the industry and awarded, are them: B2W Digital, Carrefour, Deltasul Utilidades, Grupo Gazin, Lojas Bemol, Lojas Benoit, Lojas Colombo, Lojas Koerichs, Lojas Lebes, Lojas Sipolatti, Magazine Luiza, Via Varejo e Grupo Zema.
