Latin American Electronics and Latin American Housewares
The professionalism of the fairs was highlighted by international agents and exhibitors.
Dedicated to international brands, Latin American Electronics and Latin American Housewares, held together with the Eletrolar Show, welcomed hundreds of exhibitors, who presented their innovations in the electronics and household categories. The China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Machinery & Electronic Products (CCCME) brought 180 companies to the fairs.
Ma Jiayl, project assistant at CCCME, highlighted that China has been Brazil’s main trading partner for 14 consecutive years. “In 2023, bilateral trade between China and Brazil was US$ 181.53 million, growing 6.1% compared to 2022. The close relationship between the two countries provides the most solid basis for Chinese companies to access the Latin American market.”
The results pleased exhibitors, and many of them are already looking forward to the 2025 edition, Ma said. “At the fair, they met their customers, won new ones and learned more about the needs of the South American market. As the largest economy in Latin America and the ninth largest in the world, Brazil has many consumers and a fast-growing electronics market.”
Business rounds
More than 110 business rounds were held during the fairs. The Instituto Brasileiro de Relações Empresariais (Brazilian Institute of International Business Relations)(IBREI) brought 10 buyers from Chile, Guatemala, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Bolivia. The fairs brought together major importers, who came to LAE in search of new products and technology, as well as new suppliers, launches, competitive prices, quality and trust”, said Gilberto Bueno, commercial and events director at IBREI.
Buyers highly praised the event’s structure, the number of exhibitors and the variety of products on display, said Gilberto. “The service provided by the fair team was impeccable. IBREI sees the fair as the greatest opportunity for international negotiation in the sector and, with its expansion to Mexico, believes it will become a reference in Latin America.”
With a culture of international business rounds held at few fairs here in Brazil, LAE provided opportunities for buyers. He promoted the possibility of bringing new products and innovations from the sector at competitive prices to their countries. “Negotiations take time to materialize, but we already have information that there will be imports of bicycles, cell phone equipment and household appliances,” said the director.
Words from buyers
Representing the importer El Gato SA, from Ecuador, engineer Jorge Guamán Toscano was interested in medical technology and household goods at the fair. He is about to close deals with five suppliers. “We expanded our network with friends we met at IBREI and we are in contact with suppliers from Brazil, Mexico, Bolivia and Colombia,” he said.

It was important to participate in the fair to learn about new technologies, innovative products, new suppliers and better prices.”

Small appliances such as coffee makers, espresso machines and air fryers stood out, said Juan Camilo Uribe, CEO at Plus Solutions. “We had good business opportunities, which will be consolidated in purchases. The fair allowed us to diversify suppliers and the business rounds were an opportunity to improve the offer. We have our own brand and are constantly buying products.”
