ABRASA’s involvement in floods in Rio Grande do Sul
Moved by the tragedy in Rio Grande do Sul, ABRASA has been guiding its members, providers of after-sales services in electronics, since last May to collaborate with the population whose devices were affected by the floods in the state.
Given the difficult situation of the people in Rio Grande do Sul who lost everything in the floods, ABRASA has been striving to show solidarity and assist the population with specific actions. Thus, it is adopting the same procedures used by major industries and after-sales services in the 1980s, when the state of Santa Catarina was also devastated by floods.
During that time, after-sales services achieved significant results by recovering about 65% of the damaged equipment. The association is guiding its members on these procedures to minimize potential costs in the recovery of devices affected by the floods.
At the same time, it has been advising consumers not to turn on any electronics they may have salvaged before they have been inspected by a specialized technician. Only they are fully capable of checking each device thoroughly, thereby preventing further damage and potential accidents.
The service order (OS) show a significant drop of 0.85% for the second quarter of 2024 compared to 2023. We alert our nationwide registered network that this is a crucial time to strengthen customer relationships, highlighting the importance of their role in product recovery. Providing comprehensive explanations and offering top-notch service makes a difference.
