It is no secret that Brazil is among the top in the ranking of the vanity with its male population among the most consumed beauty and personal care items in the world. And this, of course, is perceived not only by the wide range of professionals who are dedicated to serving this universe, but also by the number of products available in the market, which, consequently, draws attention to hair trimmers and shavers, indispensable items for modern man.
Luciana Nobre, product manager at Panasonic do Brasil, says that the profile of contemporary men changes year by year, and the category of personal care grows among this public, which is vainer and more receptive to experimenting products related to self-care. She also highlights the aging of the population. “The connection with new technologies makes us have more attuned parents, who consume technology, watch videos on social medias and like to be attentive to the best quality products.”
For Moisés Botelho, content manager at Ventisol/Agratto, the fact is that there has been a natural growth in recent years of men who want to feel more attractive. An example of this is the gigantic leap in the number of specialized barbershop salons that have emerged in the last decade. “And with our society’s increasingly fast-paced day to day, just going to the trusted barber is no longer enough. We need to be agile in our daily lives.”

Convenience and economy savings
The Father’s Day is a very favorable date for the category, represents a significant increase in sales of shavers and trimmers, highlights Julia Bartolo, product manager at Mondial. “Many children look for useful gifts for their father, which makes personal care products an attractive choice. This year, we expect a double-digit increase in sales of our products, which are intended to bring practicality to consumers’ routine.”
In the opinion of Bruno Pereira, senior manager at Cadence, the option of gift someone in this celebrating date with hair clippers, body trimmers and shavers is to ensure that the father has the convenience of taking care of his look at home. “This saves time and money, it’s a choice that unites practicality and utility.”
The executive-director at Philco, Cristiane Clausen believes that practicality is a very important point of these products, since they facilitate the routine. The economy also influences the choice of the item. “Children and wives who usually buy personal care items as gifts understand the need for parents to have products that make everyday life easier, especially those that have more than one function.”
In the same row, Kedma Vieira, marketing, and trade manager at Mallory, says that having a body hair clipper on hand always makes it possible to keep hair and beards always trimmed, without the need to go to the barber, is an advantage, especially for those who have an intense work routine, with trips and other activities. “Father’s Day is a great opportunity, and our customers have been betting on ensuring the availability of these products on the shelf.” Following are the novelties for the date.

In the category of hair clippers, the CAB181, with ergonomic design, and the CAB180, with unique design and colorful combs, make it possible to cut at five different heights for various styles. The products have stainless steel blades, fine-tuning lever and comes with accessories: four high combs (3 mm, 6 mm, 9 mm, and 12 mm), cleaning brush and lubricating oil. “Expectations for 2024 are positive, with an increase in sales forecast, and the company is ready to meet the growth of seasonal demand,” says Bruno Pereira.
