PIM CAN CLOSE THE YEAR WITH HISTORICAL NUMBERS

Superintendent Of The Manaus Free Zone (Suframa)
After having invoiced BRL 74 billion in the first semester and achieving growth of approximately 60% in comparison with the same period last year, the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM) also started the second semester at a heated pace.
In July, PIM earned R$ 13.29 billion (its second-best mark of the year) and gained even more strength to close 2021 with historical numbers of productivity and sales.
The consumer electronics segment (including IT goods) is, without a doubt, the leader in PIM’s record performance. It currently accounts for almost half of the revenue generated and for around 40% of the employed workforce (permanent, temporary, and outsourced). Cell phones, tablets, PCs, and home theaters are some representative products of the segment that are enjoying a very positive year so far.
The strengthening of the PIM and the improvement of Manaus Free Trade Zone business environment were priority goals of the federal government in these thousand days of administration recently completed. SUFRAMA, as an autarchy linked to the Ministry of Economy and one of the main representatives of the federal administration in the region, will continue working so that the PIM is strengthened and its indicators advance, thus seeking to contribute to greater dissemination of its impacts, especially in the generation of employment and income for the regional population.
