Consumer Electronics sales grow in the first half of 2019
Data were revealed by GfK Brasil, during the Eletrolar Show & Latin American Electronics 2019. Survey refers to revenues generated by sales.
Durable goods sales grew in the first half of 2019. Compared to the same period last year, the jump was 8% in revenue. The data were presented by GfK Brasil, during the fair.
In absolute numbers, revenue from the electronics industry went from $ 52.2 billion to $ 56.1 billion. This analysis considers the segments of telephony, computing, laptops, white line and electronics.
According to Rui Agapito, director of GfK and one of those responsible for the study, the search for high-end products was very evident and influenced the results of the sector in the first six months of the year. “In addition, the interest in performance, simplification and convenience is also very much present in consumer behavior and continues to trend over the coming months.”
